Install & Offline Use (PWA)

Compare JSON is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it on your computer and use it completely offline — including the code editors.

Install on Desktop

  1. Open Compare JSON in Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium-based browser.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar (or open the browser menu and choose Install Compare JSON).
  3. The app opens in its own window and appears in your applications list.

Offline Use

Once installed and opened at least once while online, the app caches everything it needs. You can then open it without a network connection and compare JSON as usual.

Updates

The app updates itself automatically. When a new version is published, it is downloaded in the background and takes effect the next time you open or reload the app — no action needed, and your editor content is never discarded by an update.

Uninstall

  • Desktop: Open the installed app, open the menu in the title bar, and choose Uninstall.
